Autumn Favourites Tag

Hi, it's Meg

A few days ago I was tagged to do the Fall Favourites Tag by Lexi from Lexi The Newt and Lily Lea from Meet Me in Melford. It's Autumn and I've been wanting to this for ages so I thought there's no better time than now to do it! I love Autumn and it's my favourite time of the year! Let's get on with it!
Disclaimer:This tag is called Fall Favourites but I prefer calling it Autumn which is why it's Autumn in the title and Fall everywhere else.

Favourite Candle?
To be honest, I don't really burn candles but I love any scent which is crisp, dark, warm and autumnal. I've been liking candles from the Christmas part in Boots. I'm not sure what they're called but they sound like a wood fire! I don't really like any fruity scents because they're too sweet.

Favourite Lip Product?
Velvet Teddy by MAC is a new favourite of mine and is a lovely crisp and matte autumnal lip with brown undertones. It's beautiful and my favourite lip product.

Favourite Nail Polish?
Models Own-Rhubarb & Custard. A deep glittery red.

Favourite Trendy Clothing Item?
Either my black a line skirt from New Look or my jacket from F&F.

Favourite Comfy Clothing Item?
Probably my gilet because it's fluffy inside! It's faux fur obvs!

Favourite Accessory?
Probably my pearl earrings that I wear all the time. They just go with everything and are very beautiful!

Halloween or Thanksgiving?
I'm from the UK so I don't celebrate Thanksgiving so definitely Halloween. To be honest, I don't really do much for Halloween either but I do love all the fun that goes with it.

Favourite Drink?
Probably a cappuccino. It needs to be steaming hot and no chocolate sprinkled on the top!

What's The Happiest Part About Fall For You?
The happiest part of Fall for me is the rain and getting into stay in at night and watching festive films with my family! I also love the autumnal trees.

Pumpkin Shenanigans

Hi, it's Meg.
I've been carving the pumpkin you will see soon for about 4 hours and it's definitely something interesting!

It's meant to be a cat if you can't tell! It was going so well when I was carving it until the head fell off... This did not stop us though because after trying flour and water, glue etc.. we found a toothpick and a ribbon to connect it. This has made it look slightly odd as the head is to an angle but that's okay! Then, the top of the pumpkin also became too small so with some other left over pumpkin we managed to put it back in.  After this, I realised that the tail had fallen of too so this is what happened:

I ended up drawing a tail on..

Anyway, I hope my pumpkin shenanigans have somewhat made you laugh or even inspired you to try this design on your pumpkin! I like this though because my nan and I tried so hard with it and I suppose it doesn't look too bad?!
That's it! What did you/are you doing for your pumpkin this year? I hope you enjoyed this and I'll see you again tomorrow!

Back To School Q&A

Hi, it's Meg. It occurred to me that I hadn't done a q&a at all and as i'm going back to school  on Wednesday I thought I'd do a school themed q&a. I asked for questions on my Instagram page @simplymeggx (give it a cheeky follow if you want!!) and i'm going to answer them!

Let's get on with the questions!!

@httpcasualty: What will you school bag be when you go back?
My school bag will be Longchamp Le Pilage medium handbag in navy blue (long handled). I used it last year and, for me, it's perfect as it's a great size and has a smaller inside pocket where i put a lip balm and some small change in. It is £55 from Selfridges and I got it for Christmas; it's slightly expensive but 100% worth it!

@h0lby.c1ty: What are you most looking forward to most/not looking forward to?
I'm most looking forward to my new timetable and starting different subjects - also for the new extra curricular clubs I can join. I'm not really looking forward to starting to get more homework and another language now i'm in year 8 but I hope I can thrive on it and the pressure put on me!

@zollie_kingdom: What is your favourite subject?
I'm not really sure to be honest, I enjoy English, all sciences and maths because they're all really interesting and teach us how the world works. I'm quite odd to say I don't enjoy art or music but that's just me!

@txhnee_x: Do you have a favourite teacher?
I don't and I don't think I ever will if i'm honest.

@zollieholbycity: How do you prepare for going back to school?
I usually get my school bag ready a few nights before and then on the night before school I make sure my room and everything is clean and organised then treat myself to a lovely bath and an early night! I don't really do much but if you'd like I can do a post on how i prepare for school.

@lifewith_alicia: Have you got any advice for bullies?
I've been bullied a few times before so I know what it's like. My best piece of advice is to tell someone: a teacher, parent - anyone you can trust and they'll sort it out and make sure to right things are to be done. Also, if you're getting bullied about having a blog/youtube channel don't listen to them, if you love what you're doing that will get you through it and bullies are always jealous of what the victims achieved!

@holbycasualtylover: What time do you wake up when you go back to school?
Usually between 6 and 6:30am - depends what time my mum wakes me up... (I sleep through alarms so my mum has to wake me up!)

@txhnee_x: What's your most embarassing moment at school?
Well... I was walking through the canteen with 2 of my friends when I tripped over a big cone and dropped my reading book so I lent over to get it - by this time i'd already attracted enough attention to myself - when I dropped my glasses case as well... I pick that up and look up to see both my science and IT teacher laughing at me! Not only that but I went bright red as usual!

That's it for this q&a! I hope you enjoyed it! I'm sorry it's short but I didn't get many questions and anyway I have another back to school post coming next Friday. Remember to follow me on bloglovin if you want and I'll' see you Wednesday for a beauty related post!

Travel Diary|Bali,Indonesia

Follow my blog with Bloglovin

Hi, it's Meg and welcome to my blog and my first post about my holiday this summer in Bali. I am not trying to brag or boast in any shape or form; I understand i am very lucky to go to Indonesia.

Anyway, I visited Bali in total for 2 weeks and 3 days (including flying time) and it was such an amazing experience and i had a brilliant time. I visited some temples where i talked and made friends with the locals as well as helping out at the spectacular coffee plantation. As well as this i visited beautiful rice fields where i watched men go and plant and look after the growing rice. During this time I took some - loads in fact - photos and I thought as a introduction to my blog i'd share a few.

So here are a few! All were taken and edited on my iPhone 5s so sorry the quality is'nt amazing.

Breakfast was by far the best! It was so lovely and tasted great, best thing was that it was all healthy. We had breakfast by the beach every day.

I got my nails painted and they added a flower on with
only nail polish and a toothpick!

The view over the rice fields was unbelievable!
In Bali, every morning, they put out offerings in front of their shops, on the beach and near temples for the Gods. They are made from banana leaves and loads of petals and small flowers are placed on top. Sometimes, biscuits or small amounts of money are placed on top and then the smoke from the incense wisps away on top of it
I went to this beautiful water temple. The history behind it is so fascinating and the views are amazing. The temple was so serene and very calming; there weren't many people there either!
As the temple was in the mountains they had natural pools with fresh water from the mountains. I decided to go for a swim in it - like a mad English person - and it was so cleansing. My dad took this photo and i am aware i look so bad but anyways...

Another photo of the beautiful temple.
The beach was so amazing when this photo was taken. The tide
was out so small islands of sand appeared so you could walk
all the way out to them. I took this photo thinking i looked cool but that kind of failed!

I also find some beautiful starfish, 50 in fact, but can't find the photo! If i find it i'll put it in my next blog post.

So that's it! My travel diary for Bali this summer! I hope you've enjoyed this post and welcome to my blog. I hope you enjoy my blog and i'll see you next Friday or sooner! Go to the top of this post to get the link to follow me on bloglovin' if you want!
Bye,
